After seven years, the Reduction In Underage Drinking Grant at White Swan is ending. This incredible cooperative project between MERIT Resource Services, Mt. Adams School District and The White Swan Arts and Recreation is ending. This federal grant which was secured by the state and has been operating in twelve individual communites throught Washington is coming to a close. July 15th is slated to be the last day of operation. The grant was originally provided for for five years but has had two carry-over years. In White Swan this project has been deemed to be a huge success that has brought together resources and manpower from many different fronts. Project coordinator, Nancy Fiander deserves much of the credit for the overall success of these efforts. Her untiring dedication and work has made this the single most successful Underage Drinking Reduction Project in the state.
