Yesterday, at the Chemical Dependency Professional's Award Banquet, John Winston was recognized by his peers with the Marty Thorp, Family Healing Life-Time Achievement Award. This award was presented to John's for his over 20 years as a Counselor running Intensive Outpatient Programs that have always had a strong family component. The banquet, sponsored by the Central Washington Chemical Dependency Treatment Providers Alliance is an annual event that highlights individual counselors for their ongoing efforts to help alcoholics and drug addicts. John is an Intensive Outpatient counselor at the Yakima branch of MERIT Resource Services.
