Washington Telebuprenorphine (Telebupe) Hotline
If you are looking for recovery support for an opioid use disorder, the Washington Telebuprenorphine (Telebupe) Hotline can help. This statewide resource connects you with a medical provider who can evaluate your needs, prescribe medication to help manage withdrawal symptoms (if appropriate), and help you access licensed treatment resources in your community.
What is Buprenorphine?
Buprenorphine is a medication used to treat opioid use disorder. It can help reduce withdrawal symptoms, cravings, and make it easier to focus on recovery. Providers often use buprenorphine as part of a broader treatment plan that includes counseling, peer support, and behavioral health services.
How the Telebupe Hotline Works
Whether you are seeking medication for withdrawal or simply looking for guidance on your next steps, this free and confidential service can help you access resources that support your recovery. Here’s how you can reach out, and what you can expect when you do:
- Call (206) 289-0287 any day of the week between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM to speak with a Linkage to Care Coordinator.
- Screening: Your coordinator will ask a few questions about your opioid use, how you are feeling, and what kind of assistance you are looking for.
- Provider visit: Your coordinator will set up a free telehealth visit with a medical provider by phone or video.
- Prescription: If the provider determines that buprenorphine is a good fit, they will send a prescription to a pharmacy so you can start treatment.
- Follow-up support: Your coordinator will contact you to confirm you were able to pick up your prescription, assess how the medication is working, and share information about addiction recovery resources in your community.
*If you call outside operating hours, you can leave a message for a next-day follow-up. For immediate support, you can contact the Washington Recovery Helpline at (866) 789-1511.
